About Dr. Siravich Suvithayasiri (Bright)

"From a Question... To the Answer for Better Quality of Life"

"My journey began with a single question: Why do spine patients in leading medical nations like South Korea recover so quickly with fewer complications? Driven to find the answer, I dedicated myself to mastering advanced Endoscopic Spine Surgery techniques at their source, intending to bring this standard of care home to Thailand. My mission is to expand opportunities for every patient to access trustworthy, precise, and Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) options. I created Bright.Endospine to be a transparent source of truth, sharing up-to-date academic insights with both patients and fellow surgeons. Ultimately, I want to ensure you have a reliable guide and a direct channel for sincere consultation to solve your pain at its root."

Dr. Siravich Suvithayasiri is a consultant spine surgeon focused on endoscopic and minimally invasive spine surgery. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, and completed orthopedic surgery training at Khon Kaen University. He undertook a Clinical Fellowship in Spine Surgery at Siriraj Hospital, followed by a Clinical Fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Endoscopic Spine Surgery at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, The Catholic University of Korea, under Professor Jin-Sung (Luke) Kim. His training also includes visiting fellowships in Japan — in deformity and oncology spine surgery at Kanazawa University, and in general spine surgery at the Spinal Injuries Center, Iizuka. He is a Faculty member of AO Spine and of the ESPINEA Endoscopic Spine Academy, an Editorial Board Member of the journal Neurospine, and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedics at Chulabhorn Royal Academy.

My Journey: From Surgeon to Educator

The Foundation

My medical path began at the Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital. Discovering a passion for orthopedics, I completed my board certification at Khon Kaen University before returning to Siriraj Hospital for my Clinical Fellowship in Spine Surgery. This rigorous training instilled in me the discipline to seek the best possible outcomes for my patients.

International Research & Teaching

To overcome the limitations of traditional open surgery, I pursued advanced sub-specialty training in Minimally Invasive & Endoscopic Spine Surgery at Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital, the Catholic University of Korea, South Korea, under the mentorship of Prof. Jin-Sung Luke Kim, a leading figure in endoscopic spine surgery. I further broadened my perspective with fellowships in spinal oncology and deformity at Kanazawa University and the Spinal Injuries Center in Japan. Today, I apply this global experience, drawing on the clinical experience I have built throughout my training and practice, to treat patients in Thailand.

International Research & Teaching

The Educator & Researcher Role

I believe that sharing knowledge multiplies the impact of good care. Beyond the operating room, I am dedicated to elevating the standard of Endoscopic Spine Surgery (ESS) globally: • Instructor: I serve as a faculty member for ESPINEA® and the AO Spine MISS Task Force, training surgeons in advanced endoscopic techniques. • Researcher: With over 30 published international research articles (mostly Q1) and a "Best Research Presentation" award from the Korean Spinal Neurosurgery Society, I am committed to evidence-based medicine. • Editor: I actively contribute to the scientific community as an Editorial Board Member for the Neurospine journal (Q1). Currently, I serve as a full-time consultant spine surgeon at Thonburi Hospital and a clinical assistant professor at Chulabhorn Hospital, dedicated to sincere treatment and the advancement of Thai medical standards.
